Sheila, this was the first year of the Sac dollar and the Mint had a big problem with the finish. It tended to turn a puke greenish-brown in circulation until they modified the wash/rinse for the planchets. In MS66 condition they are a little difficult to find but still easily available with proper searching in bags and rolls. In MS67 they are scarce with less than 200 known and none being finer.
